Martin Environmental was created by Doug Martin to provide high quality environmental research and consulting services that are tailored to the needs of our clients. We utilize skilled professionals through a collaborative network to provide the best available science. Martin Environmental has an associate staff of personnel that are highly experienced with data entry, data quality control, graphics production, technical editing, and document production.
Douglas Martin, PhD.
Dr. Martin is a fisheries scientist and aquatic ecologist (Ph.D. and M.S. University of Washington; B.S. University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point) with 20+ years of experience in environmental research, consulting, and management of environmental scientists. He has conducted research, water quality monitoring, watershed analyses, habitat restoration projects, fisheries and aquatic biological surveys, technical reviews, and expert witness services for forestry, oil, hydropower, mining and port/municipal development projects in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. His responsibilities have included proposal development and experimental design, coordinating with client and agency personnel, preparing permit applications, assembling and supervising multidisciplinary teams, planning and managing schedules and budgets, supervising subcontractor work, research and analysis, writing and editing technical reports, and publishing in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Martin is an affiliate professor at the School of Forest Resources, University of Washington. He serves as an advisor to graduate student researchers and collaborates with faculty on research grant proposals and the implemention of research projects.
